Iran movie batch heads to Brazil

A batch of Iran titles is to compete at the 10th edition of Lobo International Film Festival in Brazil.

Total of 9 Iran animated pieces and short films have entered the competition program of the festival, including ‘Bystander’ by Mohsen Bagheri Dastgerdi, ‘Hedieh’ by Sahar Sotoudeh, ‘Not Yet’ by Arian Vazirdaftari and ‘Fish’ by Saman Hosseinpour.

The list also includes ‘Retouch’ by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘The Gentle Giant’ and ‘whistle’ by Kiomars Mohammadi Chenari, ‘Insomnia’ by Soudabeh Kamrani and ‘The Meaning of My Filth’ by Zanyar Mohammadi-Nikou.    

The Lobol Fest - International Film Festival is a festival whose main challenge is to present to its audience a comprehensive global overview of the CINEMA OF NOW, with a focus on audiovisual pluralism – from short to feature films, comprehending independent productions, the new audiovisual experiments and opening windows for movie makers outside the commercial circuit and enhancing the new languages.

The 10th edition of the festival will be held on November 27-December 4, 2018 in Brazil.
